Process Work
Here is the second page in-process, from one of the previously posted comics. It's been a while since I picked this guy up, but I'm glad to be working on it again.
The design for the tank is based of the M4 Sherman Tank (seen above) used in WWII. I feel like it has become the staple of tank imagery.

First update in a while, sorry everyone. Iv'e been taking some time away from comics to focus on painting again. I felt that color I wanted to introduce color back into my work, so I did a few paintings to make sure I still am comfortable with it. Anyways, here is the initial pencil drawing for, "Keep Your Friends Close, Keep A Sherman Tank Closer".

1st page of the previously posted projects before text.
This was the Photoshop job I did to aid in the drawing of the previously mentioned panel.
This is a detail shot from the previously posted page. This particular panel was a struggle and I ended up having to create a mock up image in Photoshop to help me get the logistics right. Never the less I'm rather pleased with the results.
I'm almost done inking this page. I'm really happy with the results. I had a really strong concept in my head for the first panel, and remarkably the final drawing stayed true to it. Most of the time the final image looks nothing like the idea I originally started thinking about.
This is actually a page I forgot to upload. It's been done for a bit now, but It technically is the third page in the series that I have been posting about.
New page I'm working on. Things starts to get real here.
Further progress from the previous post. I've been using a brush for the first time in a while and I'm pretty happy with the results. I'll probably continue to use them more.
I started inking the page form the previous post. I'm making some progress but I still have a ways to go.

I've been playing around with digital half-toning a bit. I'm pretty please with how it's looking so far.
This is the finished second page to the other story that I had previously posted about. I am really pleased with this page and think that it might be the best page that I have ever done. There are a few things that I could consider working further on, such as the trees in the second panel, but I think my time would be better suited getting started on further pages.
I started inking page 6. I'm pretty happy with it so far, especially panel 4. I also introduced inking with a brush in this page which I'm happy with. although I am a little nervous that the visual style will differ too dramatically from the technical pen that I had been using in the previous pages.
And the last page I'm currently working on, #6. This ones still pretty rough as you can see. I'm going to try and finish these six pages before moving onto the second half of the story. I'll try my best to upload any progress I've made.
The fifth page. The big reveal! I could try to explain whats going on here but it might ruin the story. You'll have to just wait and see!
The fourth page! Chronologically this was actually the first page I had worked on. It was actually originally intended to be the opening page. After some editing though, both me and my friend/writer Nick decided that we needed something else to open up the story and this got pushed back a bit. I still think it's one of the best sequences that we've come up with so far though.
The third page of Kalachakra. This page has proven to be a struggle, but I think I'm finally making some progress. It's my hope that even without text, you guys will still be able to follow the story (well, you know what I mean).
Ok! The official second page in process. I wish I could post the finished previous pages, but as I said, I bounce around a lot with my work. I am currently working on six pages at the same time. Once any of them are finished I will be sure to upload them!
Scratch that! THIS will be the first page of Kalachakra. I wasn't happy with the previous one, as I thought it got too busy and didn't express the speed that the pods were moving at. I am much happier with this layout and I think I'll keep it.
OK. So this is the first page to Kalachakra, a long term project that I have been working on with a good friend of mine. I'll hopefully be regularly uploading the progress I make on it, so keep checking. Once it's finished (whenever it is), it will be uploaded here.
This is the second page in the same series as the image below (I don't have a title for it yet). I will often work on multiple pages, or projects, at the same time. i find that taking a break from one thing and working on another keeps me from getting stuck. I am pretty exited about it and hopefully I'll be able to finish it relatively soon. So keep your eye out!
This is the first page in an upcoming solo project I'm working on. I'm really happy with the way that this page is coming along. I think it's one of my best to date!

This was the final black and white version that I had inked before I scanned it and colored it digitally. To be honest I think that the black and white version holds up just as well, if not better than the colored version.

I ended up re-working the text because I wasn't happy with the initial design (as seen below). This is the re-designed font I ended up ultimately using.

This was the initial sketch I had done for the, "Cheezin'" Piece. I probably spent more time on this drawing than I did on the final one, which is probably why I think this drawing is better than the final piece. I find that most of the time I like my sketches more than the final images.
